Afghanistan has shared the list of players for the upcoming T20I series in India. Ibrahim Zadran will lead the team, which includes experienced players like Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan.
It’s a special moment as Afghanistan is sending a team to India for T20Is for the first time. Due to a back injury, regular captain Rashid Khan won’t lead; instead, Ibrahim Zadran will take on the captaincy.
Mr. Mirwais Ashraf, the Chairman of the Afghanistan Cricket Board, is confident that Afghanistan is no longer an underdog and anticipates a challenging series against India. Zadran recently led Afghanistan to victory against UAE.
The squad features spin specialist Mujeeb Ur Rahman and backup wicketkeeper Ibrahim Alikhil. The pace attack includes Naveen-Ul-Haq and Fazalhaq Farooqi, who have experience playing T20s in India.
