The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that Delhi and the surrounding National Capital Region (NCR) had moderate rain on Saturday morning, with a minimum temperature of 15 degrees Celsius. The IMD also predicted further rains throughout the day.
“Delhi is likely to witness a generally cloudy sky with light to moderate rain/thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds (speed 40-50 kmph),” IMD said, adding there is a possibility of hailstorms at one or two locations.
The maximum and minimum temperatures over the next four days are predicted to be roughly 27.4 and 13.4 degrees Celsius, respectively.
According to previous IMD predictions, there is a high probability of rainfall in areas of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and portions of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh between March 1 and 3.
India Meteorological Department claims, there is a high likelihood of rainfall and snowfall in regions such as Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand through March 3.
While other sections of the nation may get below-normal levels of rainfall, the Western Himalayan and south Peninsula regions are expected to see near-normal rainfall activity during the second week of March. Over the second week, there is a projected rise in maximum temperature of 2-4 degrees Celsius, with the highest temperatures expected in south peninsular India, Maharashtra, and Karnataka.
