Force Gurkha 5-Door and 3-Door rolls out in Indian Market
The eagerly anticipated Gurkha SUV from Force Motors has now arrived in India. It comes in two variants: a 3-door and a 5-door. The ex-showroom price of the 3-door model is Rs 16.75 lakh, while the 5-door variation is Rs 18 lakh. The 5-door Gurkha costs more than Rs 1 lakh more than its 3-door version, as was to be expected. With a down payment of Rs 25,000, bookings for both models are already available, and delivery are scheduled to begin shortly.

The new Force Gurkha 5-door shares many visual cues with its upgraded 3-door sister. Both models include new grilles with the “Gurkha” emblem, rounded LED headlights with DRLs, fenders with turn signals, and fog lights that aid in cornering. The 5-door is longer by 425mm and has two additional doors at the back, although it retains the 3-door’s boxy appearance and lines.

Blacked-out door handles, large wheel arches, fashionable 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, LED tail lights stacked vertically, a spare wheel installed on the tailgate, and a roof rack at the rear are some of the other improvements. There are four color combinations available: Red, Green, White, and Black.

The Gurkha has a more powerful Mercedes-Benz diesel engine under the hood. With 48 horsepower added, this 2.6-liter four-cylinder diesel powerhouse now produces a robust 138 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque. Power to all wheels via a manual 5-speed gearbox is the main factor.

In terms of characteristics, the Force Gurkha is impressive. It has a 7.0-inch digital driver’s display in addition to a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Powered ORVMs, an auto start-stop system, a tilt and telescopic adjustable steering wheel, and a shift-on-the-fly four-wheel-drive selection are some other noteworthy upgrades.

The Force Gurkha prioritizes safety, and as such, it has equipment like dual airbags, traction control, hill-hold assist, three-point seatbelts for all occupants, an anti-lock braking system (ABS), and electronic brake-force distribution.
