Bhojpuri actress and singer Akshara Singh has reportedly received a death threat. According to allegations, she was demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh over a phone call. The person threatening her allegedly told her that the money should be paid within two days, or she would be “killed.” Akshara Singh has filed a complaint regarding this incident.

As per reports from Aaj Tak, Akshara registered her complaint at the Danapur police station in Patna, Bihar, where she resides. After receiving the complaint, the police have initiated an investigation. The police confirmed that along with the ransom demand and death threat, the actress was also verbally abused.

Danapur police station in-charge, Prashant Kumar Bhardwaj, confirmed the development, stating that Akshara had filed a complaint regarding extortion and death threats. He further assured that the investigation is ongoing and efforts are being made to identify the person responsible for the threat. The authorities are likely to arrest the suspect soon and will question him.

In recent years, she has also ventured into politics, joining Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraj campaign in November 2023. There were speculations about her contesting in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, although she has been involved only in campaign activities so far.
