Vivek Bindra, a speaker and entrepreneur, is being investigated for hurting his wife in Noida. Police are looking into the case, and action will be taken based on the investigation.
On December 14, a complaint was filed by Vaibhav Kwatra, the brother of Bindra’s wife, Yanika, at Noida’s Sector 126 police station. The couple got married on December 6 and lived in Noida’s Sector 94.
According to the complaint, after the wedding, Bindra took Yanika into a room, abused her, pulled her hair, and assaulted her. The complaint mentions that Yanika is having difficulty hearing due to the assault, and Bindra also broke her phone.
In addition to these allegations, Bindra is accused of running a “scam” by fellow YouTuber Sandeep Maheshwari. Maheshwari released a video titled ‘Big Scam Exposed,’ claiming Bindra is running a course like multi-level marketing, taking large amounts of money from students—nearly ₹500 crore. Bindra denies any wrongdoing, challenging Maheshwari on his YouTube channel. The conflict escalated with Bindra alleging threats against his legal team and an intrusion into Maheshwari’s house by his employees.
Bindra faced backlash from the Sikh community in June 2022 over an animated depiction of Guru Gobind Singh. He had to apologize for the controversy.
In 2018, Bindra had a legal issue with the Indian Medical Association (IMA) over defamatory language in a video about the Indian medical system. Despite a potential ₹50 crore defamation suit, Bindra won the case, with the court emphasizing the importance of freedom of expression.
