In yet another horrifying case of animal abuse, a criminal in the Jabalpur region of Madhya Pradesh is accused of shooting and killing a street dog.
On February 26, the event was reported to the Sanjeevani Nagar police station in Jabalpur’s Badda Dada Ground, located in the Dhanvantari Nagar outpost area.
Anita Sharma, a lady in charge of an NGO, reported that she had filed a complaint against an unknown person at the Dhanvantari Nagar police post on Friday, which prompted the authorities to launch an investigation. To ascertain the cause of death, a post-mortem examination was performed on the dog.
Notably, as word spread of the dog’s dire situation on February 26, a startling scene occurred at Badda Dada Maidan. Sharma brought the ailing dog to the vet clinic so it could be treated. Subsequently, an X-ray was taken by the vets due to the dog’s declining health, which revealed a bullet lodged in his stomach.
Sharma stated that she spent around a week at Badda Dada Ground tending to a sick dog. The ailing dog was in an unconscious state when she returned to visit it. The woman drove the dog over to the veterinarian. During a checkup the physicians pronounced him dead. According to the in-charge of Dhanvantari Nagar outpost Vikrant Pathak, a case has been filed in response to Anita Sharma’s complaint, a woman who manages an NGO. Police have started a comprehensive investigation into the incident as well.
