OpenAI has unveiled a new read aloud feature of ChatGPT, that lets the chatbot respond in five distinct voices. This new capability is already available through ChatGPT’s web, iOS, and Android applications. It was released earlier this month.
The new read aloud feature of ChatGPT is especially useful for those customers who like to hear the answers to their queries while they are on the road. Remarkably, the new feature can automatically determine the language of the conversation in order to provide the necessary output. It is accessible in 37 distinct languages. Additionally, users will have the option to configure ChatGPT to always reply orally to messages.

Giving details about the new read aloud feature of ChatGPT, OpenAI wrote on X, “ChatGPT can now read responses to you. On iOS or Android, tap and hold the message and then tap ‘Read Aloud’. We’ve also started rolling on web – click the ‘Read Aloud’ button below the message.”
A Read Aloud player will appear on top of the screen where users can play, pause, fast forward or rewind the verbal response from ChatGPT as per their preference.
