In a strategic move to boost its tourism appeal, the Maldives has appointed Bollywood superstar Katrina Kaif as its new Global Brand Ambassador. The announcement was made on Tuesday by the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), just ahead of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to the island nation.
