Did you remember cute looking guy Abdu Rozik who appeared in Bigg Boss season 16? Yeah, the guy who despite aged 20 years old looks like a small kid is in news these days regarding money laundering case.
In relation to the suspected drug lord Ali Asghar Shirazi, Rozik made an appearance before the Enforcement Directorate on Tuesday to provide a statement in a money laundering case. Days after Shiv Thakare recorded his statement with the investigating agency, Abdu received a summons from the ED.
On Tuesday afternoon, he arrived at the Mumbai ED office to give his statement. Abdu’s statement will be recorded by the ED as a witness in the money laundering case.
Abdu served as the corporate spokesman for the city’s well-known burger chain, Burgiir. In addition to endorsing the brand under Hustlers Hospitality, he also earned sizable royalties.
The ED inquiry claims that Ali Asghar Shirazi invested a significant amount of money through Hustlers Hospitality in the ‘Burgiir’ burger business.
Abdu was called in by email to appear before the national agency on Tuesday, according to the ED. Sources claim that the ED intends to examine him over his endorsement deal, the payment he got, and his relationship with drug supervisor Shirazi. Abdu recently ended his Hustlers contract after discovering Shirazi’s involvement in the narco-funding. Meanwhile, the ED searched the Burgir restaurant and found a black diary with transactional information along with a number of loose documents.
