Fans were taken aback on Thursday when Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh revealed they were expecting their first child together. The due date, September 2024, was mentioned in a post the pair made on Instagram.
According to a source who spoke with The Week a few days ago, Deepika is presently in her second trimester.
Deepika had previously discussed her plans to become a mother and have a family with Ranveer in January 2024. “Ranveer and I love children. We look forward to the day when we will start our own family”, the actress declared in a statement provided to Vogue Singapore.
The Pathaan actress also discussed her childhood and the value of maintaining one’s solidity in the pond of success and wealth, thanks to her parents Prakash and Ujjala Padukone.
Detailing the same, actress was heard saying, “In this industry, it’s easy to get carried away by fame and money. But no one treats me like a celebrity at home. I am a daughter and a sister first. I don’t want that to change. My family keeps me grounded and Ranveer and I hope to inculcate the same values in our children.”
After dating for six years, the couple married in 2018 at the Villa del Balbianello near Lake Como, Italy. On the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s romantic drama ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela’, they had their first meeting.
